>From 2:34PM until 2:37PM December 6th, 2005, our BGP session with
qwest.net was flapping causing all kinds of problems with our network.

During this timeframe, connectivity to the global Internet was
affected from customers using the ipHouse network.

We are opening a ticket with qwest.net to find the problem with our
upstream connectivity.

With the BGP session going up and down, it was affecting all other BGP
routers on our network with many announcements and removals of network
space that can be reached via qwest.net. When this happens, the
routers end up using a lot of CPU recalculating the best route to
whatever destination a packet was trying to reach. If this would have
continued, the routers would have marked the qwest.net link as
unavailable (dampened) and we would have cleared up.

Since this happened over such a short period of time and recovered, we
never needed to dampen the routers coming from qwest.net.

Support can be reached Monday thru Friday from 8:00am until 8:00pm,
Saturdays from 11:00am until 4:00pm via phone at 612-337-6340, or via
