The fileserver is back online and operational. I have reviewed the logs now to determine why the system went down. Initial review shows that a disk went bad (no big deal normally, that is what the system takes care of automatically), but some how the fibre channel loop got wedged and after a short period (~30 seconds), it marked all the disk shelves and disks as missing and then shut down. It then went into a reboot cycle not able to find any disks on the FC loop. This is what caused the outage. The fileserver had been online over 712 days without interruption or reboot. So, things are back online, there is one disk from a shelf that is non-responsive though it looks like it was a spare disk and does not affect the operation of the fileserver, though it is being looked into regardless. The system has other spares already, so one missing spare will not affect operation of the fileserver.
