On Saturday night, November 22nd, 2008, starting after midnight, we
will be migrating customer hosted data from one file server to
another.

Estimated time of outage: 1 hour

Services should be back online before 2:00AM November 23rth, 2008.

This only affects sites hosted on our UNIX cluster.

Initial data will be duplicated over onto the new file server via
snapshot facilities to shorten the amount of downtime that will occur.
This is where the majority of time will be spent during this
maintenance window.

Once that is done, we will shut down the Apache processes on our web
servers and start unmounting the old files erver from the systems and
remount the new file server in its place. This is where the actual
service interruption occurs.

An incremental snapshot will then be used to copy over any changed
data onto the new file server.

We'll do a quick verification to make sure we have everything copied
over then bring Apache back online on the cluster. This is where the
actual service interruption ends.

I am scheduling ~1 hour of time for interruption just in case, but if
things go as smoothly as I expect, the actual incurred downtime should
be under 15 minutes.

Support can be reached Monday thru Friday from 8:00am until 8:00pm,
Saturdays from 11:00am until 4:00pm via phone at 612-337-6340, or via
