If a new PDU needs to be purchased anyway... I suspect the Akamai servers have IEC inputs. It might be worth considering a PDU with IEC connectors on the output side. This could provide enough outputs in 1U vs needing 2U for two PDUs. Disclaimer: I haven't seen the rack, so this is just a general comment to consider.
