Yep… This is not an uncommon attitude among some larger providers. It's actually rather interesting. So far, it has never worked out particularly well for any of the providers that have pursued this strategy. Consider, for example, SPRINT, or the financials of what is left of PSI.

If it wasn't so detrimental to the internet as a whole, I'd channel Randy Bush and say "I encourage my competitors to continue to do this."
