On Thursday, Aug 1st, 2013 from 3:00AM CDT until 6:00AM CDT, one of our multiple bandwidth upstreams, CenturyLink will be performing maintenance on their hardware. There will be a 15-45 minute period during this window where they will take down their equipment to do maintenance. The effect on our network will be that all traffic will be handled on our other upstream provider, and there will be rerouting of traffic while this connection goes down and comes back up. Our new core routers have shown to be very fast for this route recomputation, so we don't expect this to be very noticible, but some with very tight monitoring will see a few dropped packets. We'll monitor before and after the window to make sure traffic restores and everything is operational afterwards. If you have any problems or questions please let us know at [log in to unmask], or call us up at 612-337-6340. -- Doug McIntyre <[log in to unmask]> -- ipHouse/Goldengate/Bitstream/ProNS -- Network Engineer/Provisioning/Jack of all Trades
