On 4/26/2016 around 2:45PM CDT, our monitoring alerted to us that one of our upstream providers, HE.net seemed to be dropping packets after we got past their router in Minneapolis. We turned down our BGP session with HE after we troubleshooted what was going on, so that our traffic wasn't impacted by their problems. This made all our traffic go over our redundant upstream, Level3, so that we would continue to be working online instead of split up roughly 40/60. I notice other reports from other providers that HE.net seemed to be dropping their traffic as well. I have a ticket open with their NOC, and we won't turnup our BGP with them until they give us the all clear that they've fixed whatever broke, and it is safe to route traffic over them again.
