I just wanted to reach out after the meeting to get an official discussion going on the membership fee. Prior to the meeting I got the impression from a previous email that it was moving towards becoming mandatory. During the meeting when Go To Meeting crashed, and we were split in two, someone mentioned that the fee was voluntary, and that we could simply ask for any fee that we felt was fair, and invoices would be adjusted accordingly. I think that the official fee structure should also address remote extension switches, and connected members, which is my second topic.

I feel that the board should define standards for running/approving an extension switch. SIX has some great example rules at https://www.seattleix.net/rules I feel that all members connecting to extension switches need to be explicitly be made aware that they are on an extension, and some of the implications that might have.
