I hate that Fortnite doesn't release anything on their website about the update. Just their twitter mentions it.

Makes sense but I also wonder why this isn't being served from MICE? It must not be served on Akamai or any of the other connected CDN's as there was no spike from MICE at all.

Our transit traffic is way up today compared to normal. It started around 1:30am and we're at levels now that we normally see at 9pm for transit. Our peering is at a normal level.

 

Lots of traffic from Edgecast and Akamai not coming through the IX but through our HE connection.

 

Is there a new Apple release or something? This is bigger than any Fortnite or Call of Duty download I've seen too.
