In past years, major iOS releases have caused a significant increase in traffic, and since Apple is now peering at MICE, I expect a significant bump in traffic on MICE as well this afternoon.

These have been big historical bumps. It'll be interesting to see how
the traffic pattern changes with more people working from home. IIRC
the big bump was in the evening the last couple of updates.

For us (the University of Minnesota) the biggest bump is right at noon when it is released, as much as triple our normal Apple traffic lasting an hour or two around at that level subsiding to double the normal for the rest of the afternoon and well into the evening, and 50%, or more, higher traffic for most of the rest of the week, finally returning to normal traffic levels about a week later. Nevertheless, I'm interested to see how COVID will change things for us this time.

But YMMV!

See you on the other side, Later!
