Some impact in performance when the router failed.
Took a couple of minutes for all routing to reconverge.
Reason for service degradation:
Physical hardware failure of one of our routers to the Internet.
There are 2 physical routers each with different connections to the
global Internet. One of thse routers failed and traffic has
automatically moved over onto the other Internet connections. This
was automatic and did not require any human intervention.
Doug is heading to the data center now to check into what is going on
with the router itself and one of us will send another update if
needed once things are back online.
