The way Akamai distributes traffic is rather complicated. Sometimes
traffic won't shift back after an event until the node it shifted to is
under stress. Given the general mid-summer lull, traffic levels may
take a while to shift back. A big Apple iOS release, or other
internet-wide event, will fix things quick. :)
FYI, the GigaPOP doesn't start ramping back up until mid-august when a
few schools start, and won't be back to full load until after Labor Day
when the U of M and most K12s in Minnesota start.
