On early Monday, Feb 3rd, 2014 during a maintenance window from 1:30AM CST
to 5:00AM CST, we will be upgrading the software on our Tegile storage NAS
systems, used for our virtualized server products, to the latest code.

These systems have redundant controllers, but Tegile Engineering wants
to do a hard failover to make sure that everything is in sync after
the upgrade instead of a normal soft failover. So we are scheduling
out this in the early morning to minimize any sort of disruption. This
shouldn't affect most virtualized server customers, although there are
two customers we know of that will have some level of disruption.

Our Tegile storage NAS systems handle many of our customer Virtual
Server offerings, both sv and VDS setups, managed colocation &
managed virtual servers, our enterprise hosting setups, and our older
virtual server product offerings as well.

Our internal virtualized servers are mostly on a different storage system
than the Tegiles, and are not covered by the scope of this maintenance
(ie. no issues for mail, authentication, web hosting, dialup/DSL, etc).

We anticipate the upgrades will go well, and are supposed to offer a
wide range of fixes that will make operating them much easier, and
provide faster cutovers, reboots & rebuilds; Provide more features for
tighter VMWare integration; Better monitoring of the disk systems.

We'll be monitoring all systems during and after the storage upgrades.

If you have any problems or questions please let us know at
[log in to unmask], or call us up at 612-337-6340.
